Dental Veneers

If your teeth are riddled with blemishes then you may consider receiving veneers to remedy chipped, broken or discolored teeth. Dental veneers are an affordable solution that give you a glowing smile.

What are Dental Veneers?dental veneers in mesa, az

Veneers are basically a thin porcelain casing that fits onto the front of unappealing teeth, designed to vastly improve aesthetic appeal in as little as two appointments. A dentist will use impressions of your existing teeth to craft the veneer so it looks and feels perfect.

Procedure

Veneers are applied by a dentist who will prepare the surface of the tooth by removing a small amount of a tooth’s enamel. Typically a local anesthetic is provided to numb the region but this is not always necessary.

Once the surface of the tooth is cleaned, your dentist will carefully bond the veneer utilizing special cement. Next the veneer is secured using a low-heat curing light which hardens the cement.

After the Dentist

Following your dental visit you may experience some light sensitivity to the affected area. It may take a couple days or weeks to adjust to the veneers but this is perfectly normal! Veneers function exactly like your regular teeth but individuals should exercise caution when chewing foods like popcorn kernels, hard candy and ice.
