Not only can you now catch up on your favorite show all in one go (that is, if you have eight hours to spare), but so many shows are now at your fingertips any time you want. orange is the new black Orange is the New Black. Easily one of the most binge-watch-worthy shows on Netflix, the series revolves around Piper Chapman (played by Taylor Schilling), a woman in her thirties living in New York City, who is sentenced to 15 months a women’s federal prison in upstate New York. Based on the memoir of Piper Kerman with the same name, OITNB won three Primetime Emmy awards for its first season, a Producer’s Guild of America Award and a Peabody Award.
Hhouse of cardsouse of Cards. Kevin Spacey stars as U.S. Rep. Francis Underwood, a ruthless politician seeking revenge. Underwood is promised the post of Secretary of State in exchange for his support to ensure that Garrett Walker is elected president. After being denied the cabinet position, Underwood and his wife, an environmental activist, make a pact to destroy Walker and his allies. Based on the BBC miniseries of the same name, the U.S. version gives a depiction of the corruption behind the scenes in American politics. House of Cards is the first online-only series to receive major Emmy nominations.
Ddaredevil tv show aredevil. The first in a relaunch of the Marvel universe, “Daredevil” follows Matt Murdock, attorney by day and superhero by night. As a result of a chemical spill, Murdock has superhuman senses that enable him to fight crime in a powerful way. As superheroes often do, Murdock has a dual personality, a champion of the criminal justice system by day, and a vigilante who takes the law into his own hands to protect Hell’s Kitchen. After the first season was a hit, Marvel and Netflix renewed Daredevil for a second season, due to premiere on March 18th.
