Ever wanted to try your hand at the fine art of Yo-yo? Maybe you have a little one at home who’s had his interest piqued by a YouTube video. If you’re looking for a fun and different way to spend a Saturday afternoon, then why not check out a yo-yo class? It’s happening right here in Mesa on Saturday, February 20th. Here’s some more info on the fun family event.
Mesa’s Premier Yo Yo Class
Taking place in Gotham City Comics and Coffee in the heart of downtown Mesa, the event will feature a world class Yo-Yo man teaching the basics to young and old alike. All levels of yo-yo mastery are welcome, and the Yo-Yo man will teach tricks assumed to be physically impossible!
Taking Place in Mesa’s Premier Comic Book Store!
yo yo'sPrepare to be greeted by Batman when you walk into Gotham City Comics and Coffee. Store owners, Josh Krize and Mike Laurendeau have created a colorful collection of comic eye candy, including original paintings of characters like Daredevil, Deadpool, Wolverine, the Joker, and, of course, the Dark Knight, himself (in the form of a mannequin). Located on Main Street, just east of the Mesa Arts Center, the place is known to attract a crowd during special arts and culture events, and has expanded to incorporate live music, author signings, a huge gaming room, and, of course, yo-yo classes!
The Yo-yo instruction begins on Saturday, February 20th at 2 pm and runs until 4 pm. While you’re downtown, be sure to check out the MACfest that will be taking place on Main Street at the same time.
